Booking, Event & Website Policies
Booking & Retainer
A signed agreement and a 50% non-refundable retainer are required to secure your event date. Dates are not reserved without confirmed payment.
The remaining balance is due no later than seven (7) days prior to the event date unless otherwise specified in your agreement. Failure to remit the final payment by the due date may result in cancellation of services without refund of the retainer.
Guest Count Confirmation
A final guaranteed guest count must be provided no later than ten (10) business days prior to the event date.
This number will serve as the minimum billing count and may not be reduced after this deadline. Increases in guest count are subject to availability and written approval.
Menu Confirmation
Final menu selections must be confirmed no later than twenty (20) business days prior to the event date.
Last-minute menu changes or special requests cannot be guaranteed and may incur additional fees.
Food Safety & Leftover Policy
For food safety and liability reasons, Healthy Living with Jess maintains control of food preparation and service conditions during the event.
For Private Dining experiences only, leftover food may be left with the client upon request, provided it is immediately refrigerated under proper storage conditions. Once food is transferred to the client, Healthy Living with Jess assumes no responsibility for storage, handling, or consumption thereafter.
For Curated Events and larger gatherings, remaining food may be removed at the conclusion of service to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
All retainers are non-refundable.
Rescheduling requests may be accommodated based on availability and must be approved in writing. Additional fees may apply depending on timing and event adjustments.
Inclement Weather
For outdoor or venue-based events, the client is responsible for providing a suitable alternative plan in the event of severe weather.
Healthy Living with Jess is not responsible for service disruptions, delays, or damages caused by weather conditions or circumstances beyond reasonable control.

For in-home private dining experiences, clients are responsible for providing a clean, safe, and accessible kitchen environment suitable for food preparation and service.
Any required equipment, space considerations, or logistical needs will be communicated in advance.

While care is taken to prevent cross-contact, Healthy Living with Jess cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment.
